Now the color is beginning to come in... This stage takes days. I splash it and drip it and slowly build color and texture. I will put in the finishing touches on November 9th at the demonstration I'm doing for the Valley Watercolor Society in Tarzana. Tomorrow I will begin the drawing for another commission. I need three stages of my work in order to do a demonstration. Each piece takes so long and I only have a couple hours...

I was able to make some good progress over the weekend. Unfortunately, I have to stop for now. I plan on practicing the graffiti tonight. It will be interesting to try to mimic spraypaint with watercolor.
Now the road is in... I need to pick up some more masking fluid today so I can finish the buildings. I need it for the graffiti.
So I am way behind! I still have to finish this drawing tonight. I want to be painting by tomorrow. Let's see if I can hold myself accountable.
Half the street is in. I expect the other half to be in by tomorrow so painting can begin on Wednesday!
So I didn't get very far today... I put in some perspective lines and started mapping out the skyscrapers. The large buildings in the back are from downtown LA... the financial district.
